What the listing contributes

Public profile details become draft website content

The listing gives Lindo a starting point for structure and copy. Every field still needs your review before publishing.

Which details are available depends on what the business has published. Missing fields become gaps you fill in the editor rather than invented facts.

How it works

Paste the profile or Maps listing URL.

A Google Business Profile URL or the Google Maps listing for the business both work. Add a note about services, audience, or tone to improve the first draft.

Lindo drafts the site structure.

Public listing details inform sections such as services, gallery, location, and contact, alongside generated copy you can change.

Fill the gaps and correct the details.

Verify hours, services, pricing, photos, and contact information, and replace any placeholder content that does not reflect the business.

Publish on a domain you control.

Connect a custom domain or use a Lindo subdomain, and review metadata, structured data, and mobile behavior before launch.

Why start here

The listing is a useful starting point

Less blank-page work

Start from real business context instead of an empty editor or a generic template.

Practical local sections

Hours, service areas, and contact details are drafted as editable sections you confirm.

Location and map

Add an address section and map so visitors can find or contact the business.

Bring your own images

Swap in photography the business owns. Listing photos may belong to other contributors.

Social proof, used carefully

Feature reviews only where you have the rights, and never edit review wording.

Agency-friendly

Draft a client site before a pitch, then deliver it under your own brand.

Replacing a retired Google website

Lost the website Google built inside your profile?

Google retired that builder in March 2024 and ended the temporary redirect to Business Profiles on 10 June 2024, so those addresses stopped resolving. The listing itself is unaffected, which is what this workflow uses.

Check what customers see now

Open your old address. If it fails, anyone following an old link, printed menu, or directory entry is hitting a dead end right now.

Draft the replacement from the listing

Paste the profile or Maps URL above. The services, hours, and location already on your listing become the starting content instead of a blank page.

Add what the old site never had

The retired builder produced a single page. Add the service, pricing, about, and contact pages customers actually look for, plus real photos you own.

Publish on a domain you control

Connect a custom domain so the address is yours permanently, rather than depending on another provider's free subdomain.

Update the profile link

Edit the website field on your Business Profile to point at the new site so Maps and Search send customers to the right place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to own the Google Business Profile?
You do not need profile ownership to use a public listing URL as a reference, but you should have the business owner's permission to build and publish their website.
Which URL should I paste?
Either the business's Google Business Profile URL or its Google Maps listing URL — both point at the same listing. A generic search results page gives Lindo far less to work with.
Google turned off my Business Profile website. Can I replace it here?
Yes, and that is one of the most common reasons people use this workflow. Google retired the websites built inside Business Profile in March 2024 and ended the temporary redirect to the profile on 10 June 2024, so those old addresses no longer resolve. Your listing still exists, so you can use it here to draft a replacement site on a domain you control.
Can I use my old business.site address again?
No. That address belonged to Google's retired builder and cannot be reclaimed or pointed at a new site. Connect a custom domain instead, then update the website link on your Business Profile so customers reach the new site.
What if the listing is missing information?
Gaps stay visible as placeholder content for you to complete. Add the missing services, copy, and images in the editor, or update the listing first and start again.
Will the website stay in sync with the listing?
No. There is no ongoing automatic sync between a published Lindo site and the Google listing. Update the website when hours, services, or contact details change.
Can I show Google reviews on the site?
Only where you have the right to display them, and always unedited with clear attribution. Do not present selected or rewritten reviews as an overall rating.
Can I use the listing photos?
Check the rights first. Photos on a listing can be uploaded by customers or third parties, so prefer images the business owns.
