How Lindo.ai handles your data

1. Introduction

Lindo AI, provided by Hormo Studio LTD and located at 777 Fort Street, Victoria, BC, Canada, values your privacy and is committed to safeguarding your personal data ("your data") with utmost care and confidentiality.

This Privacy Policy applies to three categories of individuals:

• Lindo AI users: individuals who create websites using Lindo AI.
• Website visitors: individuals who visit lindo.ai or sites created with Lindo AI.
• ChatGPT app users: individuals who connect Lindo AI to ChatGPT (or another MCP client) and interact with the product through natural-language tool calls.

Lindo AI is a service provider and not the owner of the end-user data collected through user websites. Users (individuals who create websites with Lindo AI) remain the data controllers for respondent data collected on their own sites.

2. What Data We Collect

• Electronic identification data:IP address, device & browser information, and approximate location data.
• Usage information: the source of your visit, pages viewed, and product features used.
• Registration information: first and last name, username, password, and email address when you create an account.
• Billing information: name, address, and financial information for paid plans (payment data is handled by our payment provider, Stripe).
• Website data: content, media, and configuration for websites, pages, and blog posts you create.
• Agent and tool-call data: when you use Lindo AI through ChatGPT or another MCP client, we receive the prompts and parameters needed to execute the tool you invoke (for example, a prompt describing the website to generate, or the name of a client to create). We do not receive or store your wider ChatGPT conversation history.

3. How We Use Your Data

Lindo AI does not sell personal data to third parties and does not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We process your data only with your consent or for the following purposes:

• Delivering our website-building service, including AI generation features.
• Improving your user experience and product quality.
• Sending essential product updates and security notifications.
• Troubleshooting functionality and resolving bugs.
• Responding to legal requests and preventing fraud or abuse.

4. ChatGPT App, OAuth, and Tool Calls

Lindo AI offers a ChatGPT app and a public MCP server at mcp.lindo.ai. When you connect Lindo AI to ChatGPT or another MCP client:

• Authentication (OAuth 2.0 + PKCE): you sign in at app.lindo.ai and grant the app access. No password is shared with ChatGPT. We issue a scoped API key tied to your workspace, which the MCP client stores.
• Tool calls: each tool call carries only the parameters required for that action (for example, a website ID, a page prompt, or a client name). These parameters, along with the resulting data Lindo returns to the model, are processed on our servers to fulfil the request.
• What we do not receive: your ChatGPT account identity, email, or conversation history outside the specific tool call. OpenAI operates ChatGPT under its own privacy terms.
• Revoking access:you can revoke the issued API key at any time from your Lindo account (Settings → API keys). Doing so immediately disconnects the ChatGPT app.
• Retention: tool-call request and response payloads are retained for up to 30 days for debugging and abuse prevention, then deleted. Resulting artifacts (websites, pages, blogs, clients, credits) follow the normal retention rules in Section 6.

5. Data We Share

We share your information only with service providers who help us operate our business, and those third parties are contractually required to comply with applicable data protection laws. Our sub-processors include, for example, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Cloudflare), payments (Stripe), email delivery, error monitoring (Sentry), and LLM providers used to power AI generation. A current list of sub-processors is available in our GDPR documentation on request.

6. Data Retention

For Lindo AI users, we retain the website data in your account for as long as your account is active. You can delete data from your Lindo AI account at any time. We honor all deletions, and deleted website data is permanently removed from our backups within 90 days.

7. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, etc.) you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@lindoai.com. If personal data was submitted through a website built with Lindo AI, the website owner (our user) is the controller for that data and should be contacted first; if that is not possible, we will assist where we can.

8. Marketing

If you register with Lindo AI, we may send you emails about company news, product updates, and relevant service information. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience on our website and in the product, to keep you signed in, to measure usage, and to diagnose errors. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

10. Data Transfers

Lindo AI is headquartered in Canada and primary user data is stored in Canada. Your data may be processed in other countries by third parties that help us operate Lindo AI (for example, US-based LLM and cloud providers). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Acceptance of These Terms

By using Lindo AI, users signify their acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use Lindo AI. Continued use of Lindo AI following changes to this policy will be deemed acceptance of those changes.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes materially affect how we collect or use your personal data, we will notify Lindo AI users. We regularly review this policy and post updates here. This Privacy Policy was last updated on May 5, 2026.
